Authorized reproduction of the users / instruction manual for a Singer model 12, also known as the New Family sewing machine. It has a transverse shuttle which means that the bobbin and shuttle travel in a straight line from left to right and right to left or in other words, parallel to the user. It has basic user information, oiling and attachments details as well as some troubleshooting information. It will be found in a treadle base or as a hand cranked sewing machine. This manual is dated 1871 and it is so old that they they did not use illustrations but words to instruct the user. It is a bit rough but it is complete except for very small missing fragments and reproduces nicely.
