PRINTED USER INSTRUCTION

Authorized reproduction of the very early users / instruction manual for a Willcox and Gibbs Automatic sewing machine with GLASS TENSIONS. It is a chain stitch sewing machine, which means that it sews with only one thread. A looper catches the top thread and the stitch is formed. It does NOT have a bobbin. It has basic information and a bit more. Many of its attachments are covered. This version of the sewing machine was operated either by a treadle or a hand crank. It is probably circa 1860 and just so you are aware, there aren't many illustrations in this manual.
